What is TheyOwnIt?

TheyOwnIt is a platform that links your Ethereum wallet to your Discord identity so communities can verify what you own on-chain and grant access automatically.

Is it free?

Yes. TheyOwnIt is free for both members and server admins. Signing messages is always free and does not cost gas.

Is my private key shared?

Never. Signing a message proves you own the wallet without exposing your private key. No funds are at risk.

How many wallets can I link?

There is no hard limit. You can link as many wallets as you own to form a single Wallet Chain.

Can I unlink a wallet later?

Yes. Go to Connections → Wallet Chain and click Unlink next to the wallet you want to remove.

What if I lose access to a wallet?

You can unlink the lost wallet from your chain. Your remaining wallets continue to work normally.

How often are roles rechecked?

TheyOwnIt runs an automatic sync every hour. You can also run /verify to trigger an immediate check.

What happens if I sell my tokens?

On the next sync cycle (or when you run /verify), the role will be removed automatically.

Can a TGR require tokens from multiple contracts?

Yes. A single rule can include multiple contracts with AND logic (must hold all) or OR logic (must hold any one).

Does it cost gas to create a verified PFP?

No. Creating a verified PFP only requires signing a message, which is free.

What happens if I sell the NFT I use as my PFP?

TheyOwnIt detects the transfer and revokes your verified PFP status automatically.

Can anyone verify a signed message?

Yes. Each signed message has a public proof page with a shareable link. Anyone can verify the cryptographic signature.

Is message signing free?

Yes. Signing a message is an off-chain operation and does not cost gas.
